The record starts with Untouchable Funk, joy anthem that takes you directly between hot summer beaches and festival nights memories. That track translates perfectly Ghetto Chord’s love for sampling and groove.
A2 Alex Finkin’s Get On is probably the house hit we were waiting for so long. With a shrewd recipe based on filter house and disco, Alex brings us back to the glory days of the early 90s French touch.
Build on a heavy but smoothy old disco loop, La Petite is that kind of track you’ll keep in mind for the rest of the afternoon. With steady strings, basic drums and a forceful use of filter, young producer Malouane hit the bull’s eye.
Piano House Track is an insolent interpretation of garage house sounds signed by two kids doing their stuffs in Daddy’s basement. Old track produced by Dub Striker back in 2014, that summer house chorus will finally be available on wax.
Artist Biography :
Based in Amsterdam, Ghetto Chords is more than just your typical kind of House music maniac. with raw sampling techniques and an extensive re-use of Jazz, Soul and Blues chords, he is basically reinventing the sounds of the ghetto.
Alex Finkin is a music producer/DJ based in Paris, France. Eclecticism is his favorite style. This is how Alex jumps from a scene to another: house music, jazz, blues, Latin, musicals, electro pop, rock, gospel etc… Playing more than 6 instruments on the record, Alex worked as a music producter with Aloe Blacc, Dimitri From Paris, Louie Vega, Dj Spinna, Sebastien Grand, Greg Gauthier, Dj Fudge, Rocco, Manoo, Djeff Afrozila, Kenny Bobien & Many others…
Clément aka Malouane, is a young promising Paris-based producer who doesn’t care about anything but groove. With his typical sound, Malouane experiments different production approaches and give all its meaning to the word ‘sampling’. He recently launched his label « In Any Case Records » to continue his ascent on the French newcomers’ house scene.
Young french duo Dub Striker are early defenders of the pure and strong house music. Influenced by artists like Gerd, Milton Jackson & Fabio Monesi and giving to their sound a raw garage atmosphere, Wilko and Olivier are renovating the French house scene’s image with strong drums and mind-blowing melodies.
